Comparison of hot-dip galvanized steel wire and ordinary steel wire

The advantage of hot-dip galvanized steel wire is that it is not easy to rust and oxidize, and it can also enhance the toughness of the steel wire. Hot-dip galvanized steel wire can show its strong advantages in some environments that need to be exposed to rain and sunlight for a long time. Compared with ordinary steel wire, which will rust and crack after long-term use, galvanized steel wire is completely unaffected, still intact and does not rust

Advantages of hot-dip galvanized wire:

1. Durability: In the suburban environment, the standard anti-rust thickness of hot-dip galvanizing can be maintained for more than 30 years; in urban or offshore areas, the standard galvanized anti-rust paint can be maintained for 15 years;

2. Good reliability: the metallurgical combination of the galvanized layer and the steel becomes a part of the steel surface, and the coating is reliable;

3. Strong coating toughness: the galvanized layer of galvanized wire forms a special metal structure, which can withstand mechanical damage during transportation and use;

4. Comprehensive protection: every part of the galvanized wire can be galvanized, and even the depressions and sharp corners can be fully protected;

5. Saving time and effort: the galvanizing process is faster than other coating construction methods, which can avoid the time required for painting on the construction site after installation.

In addition to hot-dip galvanized steel wire, there is also cold-dip galvanized wire, also called electro-galvanized wire. Cold-dip galvanizing is not corrosion-resistant and will basically rust in a few months, while hot-dip galvanizing can last for decades. Therefore, it is necessary to distinguish between the two. In terms of corrosion resistance, do not confuse the two to avoid industrial or various accidents. However, the production cost of the cold galvanizing line is lower than that of the hot galvanizing line, so it is still widely used and each has its own use. Hot-dip galvanized wire is made of low-carbon steel plate, and its color is darker than cold-dip galvanized wire.

Main features of hot-dip galvanized steel wire:

The tensile strength of high-strength 270-grade low-loose top stress galvanized steel wire can reach 1860H/. It is 3.5 times higher than grade II steel bar of the same cross-sectional area, 5~6 times higher than A3 round steel, and 1.1~1.7 times higher than non-high-strength steel wire. Therefore, the use of hot-dip galvanized steel wire as construction steel can reduce the amount of steel bars, reduce the volume of concrete, and reduce the weight of buildings. Low relaxation prestress: Because the hot-dip galvanized steel wire is endowed with pretension, it has the excellent characteristics of low relaxation value, small stress loss, good stability after loading, no deformation, no fracture, and strong elasticity. Rebar is difficult to match.
